Tide pooling by kayak! Join us for our 2.5 hour Biologist guided, Tide Pool Exploring Kayaking Tour! This is one of our most popular tour with kids and with people of any age interested in intertidal marine wildlife. We will paddle out at low tide to view a variety of marine invertebrates such as sea stars, sea cucumbers, sea anemone, nudibranch, chitons, and crab. We usually also see bald eagles, small fish, jellyfish, heron and sometimes a seal or two! Humpback whales, harbor porpoise, California Sea Lions and Orcas have also been observed in this area, but are a more rare occurrence. If joining this tour in April, May or June you will also see up to 100 bald eagles so you get two tours in one! See our Bald Eagle Viewing Kayaking Tour for details. Your guide, owner and Marine Biologist Christina Maloney, will teach you about the animals we encounter as we paddle to a rocky point near a bald eagle’s nest and then slowly meander the shoreline in search of intertidal wildlife.
