SUMMARY:Bioluminescence / Night Kayak Tour
DESCRIPTION:Photo: Mathew Nichols Photography\n  \nView bioluminescence from your kayak on this magical 2 hour guided night tour! As you paddle through the waters\, bioluminescent plankton will light up like fireflies. The more you splash and agitate the water with your hands and paddles the more you will make the water sparkle! And don’t forget to look up to stars! We may also see the beautiful moon\, meteors\, bats and maybe hear a squawking heron or a startled harbor seal. \nWe have a 100% success rate for seeing bioluminescence on our tours in the last 6 years\, however the amount and brilliance varies.  We do not have control over natural conditions.  We place you in the right place at the right time while giving you the tools and guidance on how best to “activate” it. We hope you appreciate the entire experience of being on the water at night\, whether it be paddling with a full moon\, meteor showers\, Aurora Borealis\, nocturnal wildlife and simple peacefulness of this eerie and wonderful evening. \nKayaks and all safety equipment included.  Appropriate for kids 7 and over. \nNo drugs or alcohol allowed. If we suspect your are intoxicated or smell alcohol on you\, you will not be allowed to join us on the tour and you will not receive a refund. \nWear shoes that can get wet\, synthetic clothing is best and bring a sweatshirt or light sweater for afterwards. \nIf we must cancel the tour due to weather\, the full amount will be refunded to you. See our Frequently Asked Questions page for our other refund and cancellation policies. $125 per person. \n**Our guides are area experts and work hard to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable adventure. SUMMARY:Bald Eagle Viewing Kayak Tour
DESCRIPTION:American Bald Eagle / Bald Eagle Tour May 2020 \nBetween mid April and late June\, Hood Canal Adventures offers a 2.5 hour American Bald Eagle Kayaking Tour!  $115 per person. Our Spring low tides uncover the bounty of the sea\, and the plain midshipman fish spawning season serves up easy pickings for Bald Eagles on the beaches. During this time\, Bald Eagles from around the Puget Sound flock to the shores of the Hood Canal. It is not uncommon to see 40 to 60 Bald Eagles on the beach and perched in overhanging trees\, and some days we’ve seen over 100! Paddle to an active eagles nest and learn about Bald Eagles with our Biologist and Naturalists and be sure to bring your camera for some rare up-close photos of eagles in their natural environment! Other wildlife we have encountered on this tour include a humpback whale\, seals\, sea lions\, porpoises\, and a large array of intertidal invertebrates. Kid friendly! \nSpring brings us some windy days\, so if you’re visiting the area for a short time we recommend booking this tour in the beginning of your stay if possible. This may provide a window to reschedule around expected winds. After booking please look for a confirmation e-mail that includes important information and directions to our launch location. For information on what to wear\, our cancellation and refund policy and more\, see our Frequently Asked Questions page. \nTour group size will be between 2 and 8 people.  If you are a group larger than 8\, please call us to book 360-301-6310. \n\n\n\nBook Now
