August 1 @ 10:30 am - 1:30 pm
$79

Join us for our educational Foraging Forest Edibles Field Tour: A walking tour of Wild Edible & Medicinal Plants, Lichen and Mushrooms of the Pacific Northwest! Your knowledgeable guide will take you on a 2.5 hour walk through meadow, wetland, forest, and riparian habitats in search of the season’s bountiful wild edible and medicinal plants, mushrooms and lichen found on the Olympic Peninsula. Your guide will teach you identification, uses, benefits, and preparation tips on the wonderful gifts nature provides that we often walk past every day. Bring a harvesting basket, clippers and/or a knife if you wish to harvest something to bring home! We also carry baskets, mushroom knives and more in our store for purchase.  A delicious tea or other wild edible treat will be prepared for you with what we find along the way!

Conducted April through September. Check in at our office 15 minutes prior to your departure. Tour group size will be between 6 and 14 participants. Dogs and kids are welcome, however you will need to follow us in your own vehicle with pets and small children still using child seats. $79 per person. Children 6 and under are free with a paying adult.  Private tours for your group may also be arranged for groups of 6 or more.

After booking, you will receive a confirmation e-mail that will include important details. See our Frequently Asked Questions page for our cancellation and refund policy.
